Department of Physiology

VISION

To confer the extensive knowledge of Physiology and Biochemical reactions of whole human being to the young budding Homoeopaths, who are the pillars of future Homoeopathy. A medico should comprehend to the full extent the normal functioning of human body, so that they can understand the abnormalities in human body [Disease process] in higher classes.

MISSION

  • To impart a vast knowledge of normal functioning of various systems of the body.
  • To make the students understand the Physiology from basic biomolecular level to the cellular level to the tissue level to the organ level and finally at the system level.
  • To confer the knowledge of, how different systems in our body work efficiently, harmoniously, synergistically, integrating and compensating with each other.
  • To make the students to understand how the mutually interacting various system in our body maintains Homeostasis, which is very important in the all-round growth and development of man for higher purpose of existence.
  • With this extensive knowledge of Physiology and Biochemistry, students can understand the abnormal Physiology in a diseased person.
  • Students can understand the Physiological action of Homoeopathic remedies in a better way, with the vast knowledge of Physiology.
  • Imparting knowledge of Physiology and Biochemistry, will enable the students to comprehend other subjects like Pathology, Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Medicine etc.
  • To adopt integrated approach in teaching, with other subjects like Anatomy, Pharmacy, Organon of medicine, Materia medica, Practice of medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Pathology, FMT, Community medicine, so that the students can understand the structure and function of each and every organ and systems of the body, and the diseases related to the above systems of our body thoroughly.
  • The sole mission is to put a strong foundation of knowledge of functioning of our body, upon which the students can enhance further knowledge.
  • As per the new curriculum given by the NCH, we will expose the students to clinical aspect of physiology, so that they will get insight into clinical cases from first BHMS itself.
  • Students will have wide range of exposure to clinical physiology and applied physiology.
  • Students will also get an extensive exposure to Yogic science and meditation.
