VISION

To create a healthy community by producing physicians who function. effectively as public health administrators and decision makers, with quality leadership and management skills, helping provide cost effective Healthcare services accessible to all.

MISSION

To provide community-oriented medical education with a focus on research, leadership, and management skills to address issues of public health in both urban and rural areas.
The community physician will be an effective leader of health team at primary health care level and sound in academics, health research and leadership skills.
He/she is instrumental in development of policy, design and implement health programmes, suitably modified and aligned to local needs, and then evaluate these health activities and programmes.

Community medicine is taught for 3rd and 4th BHMS students according to the syllabus prescribed by KNRUHS, Warangal. The Department is facilitated with departmental museum, Models, Charts, Specimen’s for the understanding of subject to the students. As a part of Curriculum students are taken to field visit such as WATER PURIFICATION, MILK PAUSTERIZATION & INDUSTRIES (to make them understand about the health hazards). National health day is observed and an activity will be done with students, important days like World Health Day, World Cancer day, World tuberculosis Day....etc

Infrastructure: Food Grain of nutritive importance. Contraceptive pills, Disinfectants, Vaccines, Books of various Authors and journals in Departmental library.

Method of teaching is beyond blackboard by use of audio-visual aids, LCD projectors, slide projectors, DVD......etc

As a Part of Medical camps are organised by the department, the college had adapted a village named ISMAILKHANPET, Fasalwadi. Many health check-ups, school surveys and Health Educational programmes are been held as a part of medical camp.

Ultimately it is to make the teaching and understanding to the students more effective and informative with the core values of Discipline, Determination, Dedication, Interest and involvement.
