VISION
To Learn how to diagnose different clinical conditions along with examination of the patient and to discriminate whether it comes under medical or surgical condition.
MISSION
➢ To give guidance to study surgical cases and bed side examination in daily practice.
➢ To give knowledge regarding surgical instruments in different clinical conditions.
➢ To give knowledge regarding basic surgical procedures.
➢ To give knowledge regarding pre and post operative care and management along with homoeopathic therapeutics for the same.
➢ Application of organon of medicine and different materia medica’s should be demonstrated at bedside to prescribe the medicine shall be explained to the student thoroughly.
➢ To know the scope and limitations of Homoeopathy in surgical cases.
The subject of Surgery and therapeutics is taught in 2nd and 3rd B.H.M.S.
Objective :
1) To upgrade the knowledge of surgery,
2) To understand role of Homoeopathy in surgical cases.
3) To increase knowledge for dealing in surgical cases with the help of Homoeopathy.
Teaching Methods :
1)Regular teaching.
2) Maximum use of power point presentation
3) Use of practical experience to motivate students for homoeopathic practice in future in
surgical cases also.
4) Group disscussion, webinars, seminars, audio visual presentations etc are used.
5) Bed side examination to reach upto exact diagnosis in clinics
6) Homoeopathic case taking acoording to surgical aspect in patients available at hospital.
Facilities:
Departmental library: Depatment has its own library with collection of 20 books for easy reference of students.
Computer Lab : A well equipped lab with latest technology, internet connectivity, E-learning
facility for students.
Video CD’s of textbook of critical care, ENT diseases By dr Bhargava, pediatric surgery are availble in department for audio-visual learning.
Demonstration room: A well furnished room where 20 charts ,15 instruments with their information, 9 mounted specimen and 6 models are available for the practical purpose and spotting during examination.
Operation Theatre:- Well equipped theatre is availabe with recovery room, nursing room, doctor’s room and changing room. Minor surgeries occur in OT like lacerated wound suturing. Diabetic and infective wound dressing are done in OT.
